Speech & Feeding Therapy Services
At Lake Jackson Pediatric Speech, therapy sessions are both playful and purposeful! We specialize in supporting speech, language, and feeding development in children ages 2-8 years old.
And the best part? We come to you!
Speech Therapy
Does your child’s speech make it difficult for others to understand? Are their speech sound errors impacting their social success?
Speech therapy will help your child master the sounds they have trouble producing in a fun and interactive way. You will often find us engaging in play activities, games, or conversation to support speech sound development. Through speech therapy, your child will:
Produce speech sounds accurately
Speak more clearly
Gain confidence in their speech
Engage successfully in social situations
Language Therapy
Have you noticed your child struggles to express themselves or understand what they are told?
Language therapy will help your child build new communication skills during play. Whether we are working on expression, comprehension, or social skills, we will keep your child engaged with games and activities to help develop skills such as:
Communicating their wants and needs at home, school, and everywhere
Communicating successfully with family members, peers, and adults
Expressing themselves through speech or the use of an AAC device
Learning and thriving at school
Feeding Therapy
Is your child a picky eater? Do you dread meal times because you worry that your child will refuse what’s on the menu?
Feeding therapy addresses any challenges your child may have— from picky eating to sensory aversions to difficulty swallowing. We work with children ages 2-8 to increase the types of foods your child eats while improving their overall feeding skills. Depending on your family’s needs, our sessions may focus on:
Tolerating new foods on their plate and engaging with those foods through smell or touch
Exploring and tasting new foods
Developing oral motor skills needed for feeding
